About Dr. Schaafsma
Dr. Schaafsma provides individual counseling and assessment services for adolescents, young adults and adults. She has experience providing brief and long term counseling services in university counseling center, community mental health and private practice settings. She utilizes an empathic and collaborative approach grounded in interpersonal, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral philosophies to provide culturally sensitive treatment tailored to her clients’ needs and goals. Dr. Schaafsma is deeply committed to helping her clients heal and thrive as they cope with anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, body image concerns, relationship difficulties, identity changes, OCD, trauma, etc.
